 CURRENT EVENTS

 Catechism Class is starting – Sign up for either Baptism or Confirmation - contact Fr. George or Steve. It will be conducted on Sept 22, then the 1st, 2ndand 4th Sundays of the Month after the 10am service.

 5th Sunday in the Park! Sept. 29 will be a combined service at 9am. Enjoy informal worship on the front lawn, with coffee and cinnamon rolls! Bring your own chairs, if possible. Set-up help is needed. Contact Alex or Nina.

 Blessing of the Animals! On Oct. 6 we will hold our 8am service indoors. At 10am we will get back to nature with a service on the lawn. Bring your pets and your chairs! Treats for all God's creatures, and a photo area for pets and their humans. Invite your family, friends and neighbors! Set-up help is needed. Contact Alex, Nina or Margaret.

 GFS, a faith-based club for girls, is accepting new members in the following age groups: ages 5-8 and 9-12. First meeting will be Saturday, September 28 at 9 am at the church. Meetings are on 2nd and 4th Saturday mornings at 9 am; annual dues are $20 per family. Membership is open to all girls, no matter the religious affiliation.  Art lovers - we need your help! GFS-LA (ages 6-18) is visiting the Sistine Chapel Exhibit at the Cultural Center of Christ Cathedral in Garden Grove on Saturday, October 12, 10 am to noon. We are recruiting art lovers (you don't have to be an expert) to lead small groups around the exhibit. Contact Margaret to volunteer/more information. 

 Our office needs newer, bigger file cabinet(s)! Do you know anyone who would like to donate one or two? Please call Father George.

 The Altar Flowers - What a beautiful way to celebrate an anniversary, birthday, or thanksgiving! A $30 suggested donation covers all Sunday’s altar flowers. Contact Emmy Lou Swanson for details.

 Fill the Pantry for SOS!! – “School is in!” For September – cereal, snack bars, small bottles of water, boxed milk, canned tuna & chicken, peanut butter & jam, small packs of chips and cookies. Contact Cindy Steiger.
