Altar Guild
The Altar Guild prepares and cares for the sanctuary of the church, the eucharistic vessels, linens and ornaments. Appointed by the Rector, members serve on one of five teams. Each team prepares for our services one Sunday of each month. Under the general supervision of the director, guild members prepare the materials of worship and with the use of flowers and seasonal decorations, add beauty and dignity to our worship. For more information please contact the church office at (949) 378–9780.

Lay Eucharistic Ministers
Lay Eucharistic Ministers (LEMs) administer the chalice at services. They may take communion to the sick. They are trained by the Diocesan staff and licensed by the Bishop. For more information please contact Barbara Stewart.

Lectors
Lectors assist in leading public worship, share in the reading of Scripture, and are trained for their specific duties by the Rector. For more information please contact Barbara Stewart.

Acolytes
Acolytes serve as ministers during worship by carrying the cross and torches in procession. They assist the person presiding over the service. Training is required. For more information please contact Barbara Stewart.

Ushers
Ushers arrive early to greet people as they arrive for services. They hand out bulletins and encourage visitors to sign the guest book. They assist anyone in finding a place to sit. They collect the offering and take it forward with the elements. They clean up all pews, books and bulletins after service, put the collection in the vault, enter the number of communicants, turn off lights, bring in the greeter’s table and close all doors.

Episcopal Church Women
The Episcopal Church Women (ECW) provides an opportunity for all women of our church to join together in worship, study, fellowship and service. Members provide services to help others in need, sponsor fund raisers for outreach projects, and have an opportunity to become involved in many special projects during the year which help support the on-going life of the church. Every woman at St. John’s is automatically a member of the ECW. Our parish ECW elects its own officers and is a part of the Diocesan and National ECW Program. For more information please contact The Church Office.
